MEN ARE JUST NOT WORTH IT

i swear,
a priest just hammered that into my brain.
really,
right after a rally.
the totally insensitive, idiotic comments
that come out of the mouths of men
can just totally shock you.

NO GUY IS WORTH ME TRYING HARD TO LOOK GOOD FOR.
BECAUSE BLOODY HELL,
IF YOUR NOT LOOKING THAT GREAT,
WHY THE HECK SHOULD I BE FORCED
INTO LOOKING GOOD FOR YOU

so yes no guy is worth me looking good for,
no guy is worth me crying for,
no guy is worth me giving my heart too.
because i don't think they'll get that
they have something precious in their hands

enough is enough.

let's drink to the fact
that after this
I'm not letting myself
fall into that trap again.
